Grow Better Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”) is based in Peterborough, UK. We are the controller of the personal data we collect through growbetterdigital.co.uk. What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, business name and the message or answers you send through our contact form, package builder or booking forms.
- Order details: the services you buy, your billing details and your order history. Our payment provider handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar tools (see “Cookies” below).
- Marketing choices: whether you agreed to follow-up emails, and when.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract.
- To take payment, deliver your services and send invoices. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- To follow up on your enquiry or send helpful marketing emails. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
- To keep our site secure, prevent fraud and understand how people use it. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
- To meet tax and accounting rules. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need to. These include:
- our website host and the tools that run this site (WordPress and WooCommerce);
- payment providers, to take and record payments;
- email and customer-relationship tools, to send emails and manage enquiries;
- Google and advertising platforms, for analytics and measurement, if you accept cookies;
- our accountants and professional advisers.
Some of these providers are outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure a lawful transfer method is in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
Cookies
We use cookies to make the site work and, only if you accept them, to measure visits and show relevant advertising. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings button on the site. You can also block cookies in your browser, although some parts of the site may stop working.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that do not become a sale: up to 24 months.
- Customer and order records: 6 years, to meet tax and accounting rules.
- Marketing consent records: for as long as you stay subscribed, plus a short period to prove your consent.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your data, where the law allows;
- limit or object to how we use it;
- move your data to another provider;
- stop marketing emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
To use any of these rights, email info@growbetterdigital.co.uk. We aim to reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Security
We use sensible technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure (HTTPS) connections and restricted access. No online service is completely risk-free, so please take care with what you send.
